Where it all began..
Art has always been my passion, I have drawn and painted for as long as I can remember. Having originally trained as a Graphic Designer (specialising in Illustration) at Bath Spa University, I realised the world of Graphic Design wasn’t for me. After graduating I went on to work for an art dealer dealing in 17th Century Dutch paintings, followed by a stint working for one of the interior design companies based in the then newly opened Chelsea Harbour Design Centre.
Drawn by the allure of Africa I found myself living in Malawi, followed by Kenya and back to Malawi again. In both countries I kept my eye in by doing commissions in pen and ink or watercolour as well as keeping my sketch book filled with things, people and places that caught my eye. Back in Kenya again I started to think about designing my own products. It was while painting vast stage sets at the school that my daughters attended that the idea of wallpapers began to form.
Since then, we have settled in Devon where I have been creating, designing, and learning as I go. It has been a massive journey into the unknown and I am looking forward to seeing where it takes me.
